At 1382m long, the PFI Racetrack is the largest outdoor karting circuit in the UK and the only one to have an International ‘A’ grade track licence. The Sodi GT5 karts with 390cc engines can reach a staggering 60mph, so it’s sure to be a thrilling race!
Teams of up to 8 drivers are invited to network with the crème de la crème of the insurance industry’s most exciting networking event of the year. With a breakfast butty on arrival, a delicious lunch and refreshments throughout, Insurance Endurance provides the perfect setting for meeting new contacts and building relationships over the course of the day.
The day will begin around 8am for registration, a team safety briefing and, most importantly, a breakfast butty and a brew to set you up for the day ahead. After practice laps and qualification, the enthralling endurance race will begin at 10.30am, with drivers rotating throughout the day before the chequered flag is waved. Teams will then line up for an hour sprint race to battle it out for the Sprint Trophy!
Alongside the main event, teams will also take part in a Formula 1 pit stop challenge during the day, and with deductions made from the overall race time, it recreates the pressure of a mid-race wheel change.
The day will conclude with an awards presentation (and yes there will be trophies!)
In 2023, Insurance Endurance raised over £2,500 for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance, who provide life saving services across the biggest county in the country.
